It’s safe to say that the education today is more than a little demanding. Between budget cuts, increased violence, and conflicts with students and parents, educators have to deal with a variety of difficult situations. While there are many contributing factors across each of these issues, it’s vital for all school staff to learn de-escalation techniques. Since conflicts may arise, educators must know how to de-escalate situations to avoid intense altercations or confrontations. We will be working as a group to go through scenarios and learning opportunities to determine how to de-escalate the situation so that when the attendees leave they will have a variety of ways to help in their school building.
